Romandie Team Time Trial

I'm not sure the best way to "restart" my season, but an all-out effort like a team time trial is not the first method I'd normally choose. Nonetheless that's what I was dealt here in Romandie and I can positively say that I survived. I will admit I was more than a little nervous going in. During the warm-up I felt quite bad and that my body was tired. Plus, I haven't raced in almost 3 months and despite training hard, it is difficult to replicate the race efforts at home. Anyway, long story short, I was one of the remaining 6 on our team who finished together. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the tiring effort and hope I can continue the positive progression tomorrow. The stage looks to be quite difficult with 4 category 2 climbs on tap, the last of which tops out only 17km from the finish. I wouldn't expect a big GC shake-up, but the peloton will be drastically reduced. I will do my best to hang in there! Come back to see how it went.
