Late Night Uno

It is 11pm here in Spain and I'm just finishing dinner. Let's just say this probably isn't the only time this will happen! We will be living the Spanish lifestyle for the next three weeks, so late nights is going to be the way of life. I'm still digesting what happened during the TT, so I don't have much to say. The team gave all it had and I learned first hand what a machine Fabian is on the TT bike: simply incredible. We were painfully close to the win, but it wasn't meant to be. I am very disappointed that I was unable to finish with the team, but I had no more gas. It is an experience thing to learn how to limit your efforts to ensure you can get back onto the paceline. It was a pull just before the bottom of the final little climb that did me in, I simply couldn't regain the contact. That's about all I have for tonight, I need to recover!

Stay strong Matthew, lots of uphill in the coming three weeks of racing. Your wheelhouse.
