Hello from Corsica. It's been a few years since I was here last, but it is a pleasure to be back. I'll be honest in saying that the travel to/from this race is not fun, but the island is beautiful, the race is quality, and it is a good experience. Which race you're asking? That would be Criterium International. The race is only 2 days long, with 3 stages, which is why my 10 hours of travel yesterday was especially difficult! Today we did a nice training ride that previewed some different parts of both tomorrow's morning stage and Sunday's final climb. Tomorrow's morning stage has some unpleasantly small and twisty roads, but that's what you get in France! The afternoon tomorrow is a short time trial. It's pretty simple really: 7km FULL GAS! And from that, we'll be onto Sunday and the true difficult stage. It is not super long at only 176km, but it has plenty of climbing to tire everyone out before the final climb that is 14.1km long with an average gradient of 6.2%. We're hoping to stay out of trouble and safe until Sunday where we hope Frank can continue to show his strength and improve on his near miss at Paris Nice. That's about it from here. Good night.
