California is done and dusted for another year. The end result wasn't what I was hoping for, but I'd still say the week was a success. The morale and vibe within the team was high throughout the week. Even with the setbacks we maintained a high level of motivation and were always laughing with each other off the bike. I think that's super important and the sign of a good team atmosphere. Everyone has gone their separate ways now. I'm on my way back to Brevard and am looking forward to a week of resting. I'll be heading to Chattanooga this coming weekend for the US championships and eventually back to Europe in the beginning of June. I appreciate everyone reading and offering encouragement throughout the week. Thanks and hope you enjoyed the read!

Every July 4th I make sure to ride in my Radioshack-Nissan-Trek stars and stripes kit. Sure would love to get a new Trek Factory Racing kit with the starts and stripes.

MB, I'll be watching and hoping the best for you. I think the course and field is perfect for you to reclaim a Champ jersey. It would be good to see the jersey in Europe this coming year.
