The Jitters Continue

I awoke this morning to partly sunny/cloudy skies similar to yesterday, but the storms were on the horizon. Stage two began with rain showers and the typical attacks to establish a break. Today was difficult though as it took an hour or more to get the break established. It was full gas for that whole time and my legs still don't seem to have a lot of go in them, so I was not a happy camper. I did survive though and then I settled into the rhythm of the peleton, or at least tried. The sensations provided by my body have not been so great the last two days, but hopefully with this racing those sensations will begin to turn around and my body will respond positively.

Tomorrow is another local finishing circuit, but it is the "queen stage" of this race I think. The circuit has a small, violent climb in it of about 800m in it where the first 250m is about 21%, then another 200m at about 10-12%, and then about 4% the rest of the way. It is sure to be a selection of guys tomorrow, not pure climbers, but not the whole field. I hope I can find the effort tomorrow to be there and make the most of this race. I'll let you know.
