Hello everyone, sorry it has been so long again. I didn't do anything good like lock myself out again and need to crawl through the window though, so I didn't really have a reason to write. Since the window incident, I have kept to the old routine of training, eating and resting. Resting has not been too great though. Been quite restless and had trouble falling asleep and then sleeping soundly. Hope to get that situation remedied somehow. Perhaps I just miss my wife!
I am here in Hamburg, Germany now for the Vattenfalls Cyclassics. It is one of the fall one day classics (I think). In any case, it is on my program and what I will be racing today! Race is 216km I believe and should be a bunch kick, but not for the pure sprinters. There is a local circuit of four laps with a small climb in it that summits the last time 16km from the finish. We'll have to see what happens.
My legs were pretty good in training this week, so I hope to do a better showing than I did at Classica San Sebastian, but you never know how you'll go: some days you have it and some days you don't. I will give it my best though and hopefully at the end feel good about the job I have done.
I'm not sure of my job today, but we have three or four guys here that are fast finishers who should make it over the climb, so perhaps my job is to help protect them and set them up for the finish at the end. Who knows! I'll find out in about an hour and go from there. Thanks for checking in, I'll let you know how it goes!
